You Are The Living Proof of Your Infinite Potential

You Are The Living Proof of Your Infinite Potential By Dr. Jacqueline

Every experience you have each moment of each day is filled with potential. From these experiences, we learn and build the person we become. Each moment is a new opportunity for your entire system to learn. This is just as true of our beliefs, our thought processes, and our emotional skills as it is our physiological processes. These processes are how the body communicates with itself. From knowing where our hand is in space to the number of enzymes our liver needs to generate, we are in a state of constant potential for learning.

What does it mean that every experience is filled with potential?

I mean every - single - one. Tying your shoes, watching baby animal videos, embracing your partner, eating, or simply breathing in the fresh air; all of these experiences are filled with potential information for your body to integrate and learn.

So what happens when we are overwhelmed, checked out and numb, or disconnected?

Our bodies are INFINITELY intelligent. The body doesn’t just say, “Oh, well… I wasn’t fully present for that moment so I’ll just miss that opportunity to learn.” Instead, the body, in its innate wisdom, takes the opportunity to store this information. This potential energy is stored as what chiropractors call SUBLUXATION. If this term is new to you, subluxation is a chiropractic concept that has many different definitions. In BGI, we utilize the definition created from Sue Brown’s Potential Energy Theory of Subluxation. Subluxation is the body’s stored potential to learn, grow and evolve. These subluxations can manifest as physical symptoms, thoughts, or emotions.

This does not mean something is wrong with you!

This is your body, mind, and spirit telling you that there is an opportunity to learn. It is up to each of us how we handle that information. I am most definitely not saying you do not need to address your symptoms. I am suggesting that we LISTEN to those symptoms as ways in which our body is communicating. Does that fatigue mean you are working too hard and would be better served in spending some time with your loved ones? Is your shoulder pain communicating you need to ask for help more often when lifting things? Of course, we need to address the physical component, it is just not the only component of healing.

What can we do with this information?

  • Be purposeful and conscious of the input you are giving your body.

    • Whose voice are you listening to? What media sources are you consuming? What food are you eating? What movement patterns are you creating? This step is all about being purposeful. Perfection is an illusion. And, we can all create an effort to live more consciously.

  • Reach out for support!

    • Whether you are learning a new skill or being reminded of the things we all know to do (yes, I am talking about drinking water…), we all need support! Humans are pack animals. We are not built to do this alone.

  • Integrate!

    • There are many ways to integrate like taking a walk in nature, meditation or prayer, spending time with loved ones, and getting adjusted.

    • A chiropractic adjustment utilizing the concepts of BGI is specifically designed to support you to integrate your stored potential.

The world is filled with potential. I invite you all to take a step on your personal journey of listening to your stored potential. I am so excited to see what comes next for each of you.

A call to chiropractors:

The article above was intended for our practice members.  We will not be able to support our practice members beyond what we are willing to heal and transform in ourselves. Are you taking care of yourself? Are you walking your talk and getting adjusted?

In our BGI community reaching out for support not only means to our individual health practitioner team. It is also engaging with your community and continuing your path to mastery.  It could also look like logging onto a Virtual Classroom, attending a BGI Seminar, or interacting with our Facebook groups.

If you are a chiropractor new to these concepts, check out our USA seminars here. If you are not new to our community, we are having a BGI 4M this year in June. Join us to grow your skills, get amazing care, and reconnect with your community.
